Homemade Coffee Body Scrub
**I wrote this post a couple of months ago, over the summer, but after an epic experience in a Costa Rican spa where me and three friends scrubbed ourselves silly with coffee and vanilla exfoliator, I remembered this post and thought I’d share! A great DIY for christmas presents too! **
For my last birthday, one of my best friends gave me this little pot of homemade coffee scrub and it was amazing! I ran out the other day so thought I’d make my own and it is so quick and simple!
The good thing about this scrub is that it contains ingredients that most people have in their cupboards anyway!
The caffeine in the coffee helps to improve circulation and can help reduce cellulite. The coconut oil leaves your skin moisturised and the combination of both leaves you smelling amazing!
What You’ll Need:
Coffee Granules (The ones I had were left over from Christmas so smelt slightly spicy! – You can use flavoured to bring a different scent to your scrub!)
Salt – I used Himalayan Rock Salt as it is a little more course than normal table salt.
Jam jar or airtight container
What To Do:
Combine around 5 tbsp of coffee with approx. 2 tbsp of salt.
Melt 3 tbsp of coconut oil over the hob or in the microwave until it becomes liquid.
Combine the coconut oil with the coffee and salt mixture.
Once combined, place all of the ingredients into the jam jar or air tight container and enjoy!
**You could add in essential oils, cinnamon, ginger, anything that you fancy! Have a play around with it and see what you create! **
